Moving snowflakes by the O.Z.
I tried to sing along to this song on the way in this morning, rewinding it about 10 times to try and pick out the lyrics. Now I know the rules state you're not allowed to use Google (or any search) in the music quiz, but in this instance I had to check whether what I was singing was right. I was miles off. However, just because I used Google, doesn't mean you can! So here are the lyrics: "Allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is HOV H to the O-V. I used to move snowflakes by the O.Z., I guess even back then you could call me C-E-O of the R-O-C, HOV" To be honest, I don't expect you to get this one, but I think they're really interesting lyrics. When I was younger I used to listen to a lot of Blues, and most of it didn't make any sense until I learnt some of the lingo: captain (the boss); Parchman Farm (prison); harp (harmonica); axe gang (workers).... The sort of music I listen to now has pretty transparent lyrics, there's no particular vernacular. So when I heard the song above, I was listening to it with 'honky' ears that needed a bit of help, to make sense of it all.
