Panic over
With the start of the Tour de France just days away, I'd run out of ideas for getting to watch it. There was only one option really: get a Freeview box. But as I explained earlier, I'm skint, so how could I afford one? And our aerial was down so would it work?
I've just applied for a new credit card so I can dump my (rather large) balance onto that and slowly pay it off interest free, so... that's how I can afford one.
And for some reason, we've got excellent reception here so our little portable aerial works just fine.
So I bought a Sagem Freeview box from Comet for £40, plugged it in, pressed 'autotune' and that was it! It's brilliant: loads of channels (including ITV2 - yippee!), little onscreen TV guide, superb picture quality, dinky little remote control.
