Weekend, movie and a cat with a big head

Oh, Monday, oh well.
We had a nice weekend. I spent most of it under my Land Rover taking old bits off and putting new bits on. It's very satisfying doing that and the end result is, in my opinion, pretty cool. I did however bash up my hands trying to remove the old bits that had seized solid after 13 years of rusting: some grazes and cuts to my left and a very painful thumb on my right. In the evening we watched 'Sideways' which was good, although slightly dull.
On Sunday we went to the beach - a new one we'd not been to before - with Corrie's mum. It's an incredible place with golden sand dunes, bright blue water and big hills in the background. We found all sorts of stuff on the beach including a massive jellyfish, a crab and lots of snails.
On the way in this morning I passed a little cat who was standing by the side of the road waiting to cross. He was tiny, but had a massive head. Anyway, when I drove by he looked at my tyres. If I'd passed a human waiting to cross, he'd have probably looked at my face: it's what we do when we look at each other. Animals do the same - it must be one of those universal truths that the face, especially the eyes, is where it's all going on. But when I passed that cat he didn't look at my face, he looked at my tyres. Which made me wonder what on earth he thought my Land Rover was. We're ok, we understand most of what goes on around us, and can figure out that a roaring machine coming by has someone controlling it.
But the little cat with the massive head mustn't have had a clue.
