Sunny and grey
It was a beautiful sunny morning and yet everything looked black. It's going back to work after a long weekend that does that. I'm ok now, things are just looking a bit grey. I expect everything to be back to normal after lunch.
So the long weekend was spent doing some walking, some gardening, some DIY, some painting-of-Land-Rovers, some TV watching (Big Brother's back - BRILLIANT!) and some movie watching. It was nice.
Movie 1: Welcome to Collinwood. This was very enjoyable, like an old Hollywood heist movie, a cross between 'Ocean's 11' and a Woody Allen film. Rent it!
Movie 2: The passion of the Christ. This wasn't enjoyable at all: it's utterly horrific. All the way through I was hoping they'd let him off, but I suppose some people would have felt that was too much of a deviation from the original. I'd have preferred it though.
Movie 3: Mystic River. This is a cracking film, but it's let down by having a plot: it's the characters that are interesting.
I didn't see any cats on my way in and I didn't hear any particularly good songs on the iPod.
