Garden State
We watched Garden State at the weekend. It's such a lovely film. The story is simple and human, and it's told in a gentle, intelligent way, with a little quirky invention now and then. I was a little disappointed near the end that the 'whole point' of the story, the conclusion the lead character came to, had to be spoken rather than told in the same way the rest of the story had been told, but apart from that I was impressed. 4 out of five star-thumbsup.
