We were at a conference all day yesterday, in a rather smart hotel north of Keswick. To get there for 9am we all had to be at work to get a mini-bus at 7:45am. So I drove in early, parked the Land Rover in the car park and went off for the day.
The conference was ok overall.
We left the hotel at 5:30pm and got back to work around 6:30pm. I climbed into my Land Rover and drove home.
A lady came to see me this morning to let me know that she'd had a little prang with my car yesterday. This was news to me: I hadn't noticed anything on my Land Rover last night or today. Well, it turns out that whilst I was away, she'd misjudged her cornering and impaled her car on my front bumper, causing lots of damage to the side of her car. She wasn't blaming me - I wasn't even there - but she wanted to let me know in case there was any damage.
So I've just been out to check and there's absolutely no evidence of any collision. In fact, the only thing on my bumper is some rain.
How cool is that!? Someone crashes into my Land Rover and causes hundreds of pounds worth of damage to their car and I don't even know about it! I don't mean cool for her, that's a real bugger. But MONSTER TRUCK or what!!
