Came in this morning, switched on my G5 Mac and the fan went crazy. It's now been on full blast for 3 hours. I've tried restarting, unplugging, changing settings... but to no avail. Bloody machines. I rang AppleCare, which used to be in Ireland but is now in India, and they spent an hour on the phone with me mainly getting me to spell my name and my address several times. Anyway, someone's going to come out in 24 hours to fix it. Hopefully.
After some poking about in forums, I get the feeling that it's to do with the update to 10.3.8. Considering I did this at the start of the week and it's the only change to my system, I'd say it was pretty likely. But then I'm no expert, I'm just a young girl from Mississippi.
