I've only just bought my iPod and now they're cheaper and there's a bigger range. God damn it!
Life at the cottage is going well. We haven't started with the DIY yet, but we've had builders round to give us quotes. We haven't had the quotes yet, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be able to afford it all. I mean, how expensive can a heated indoor pool be? It's been very cold recently and the lack of central heating hasn't gone unnoticed. However, the fire's good, and it heats up the water quite well. It's just when you step into an unheated part of the house that you need arctic expedition gear to survive. Hopefully the cold snap will end soon. Living opposite a busy dairy farm isn't quite as quaint as it sounds. They milk the cows at 5:30am and 4:30pm. The afternoon session's ok, it's the morning one that's getting me at the moment. It's the generator you see, it makes a hell of a noise. Corrie doesn't notice it, but I can't block it out: I think it's the low frequency that's the issue. Hopefully I'll get used to it. It's not as bad as the screaming drunkards, helicopters, kids playing football, screeching cars and so on we used to get in Cardiff, but it's just that, if it wasn't for those few hours of noise a day, it would be perfectly quiet. Oh well.
