For the last 7 months my music collection has consisted of the 1,300 songs I had on iBy. All my CDs were packed away in storage, so that was all I had to listen to. I say 'all', but 1,300 is actually quite a lot isn't it! But after 7 months I'd started to get bored.
So a job I was really looking forward to when we moved in was 'ripping' my CDs onto iBy and then putting all this new goodness onto iPy (my iPod). I found my CDs and made a little pile on the floor next to my laptop. It was a dissappointingly short pile.
"Corrie, where are all my CDs?" I yelled. It turns out that was all my CDs: not as many as I'd remembered. I ripped them anyway and it was good to rediscover the old ones. I now have some Tindersticks, Madder Rose, Frente!, G Love & Special Sauce and Blur to listen to.
Mmmm, not a great discovery given the amount of time I've been looking forward to it. I think I'd better get some new music. Perhaps I'll download some with my new broadband that I'm getting today! Wirelessly with my wireless router that I'm getting today!
So suggestions for good new music to download please...
