Ah, the luxury of having one's own home.
We're all moved in. Tuesday went smoothly: the removals van turned up with all our stuff; I arrived with the rest of our stuff in a smaller van just as they were leaving; it was a lovely sunny day. We spent the afternoon moving stuff about and having a snoop around the place. It's not very big, so it didn't take very long, but there are a couple of outbuildings that have some interesting junk in.
So that's about it. We haven't done any home improvements yet, we can't really get started until the structural stuff's been done: new roof, new dormer windows, loft room, damp course, plastering. Only then can we put a kitchen in, replace the bathroom, buy some furniture and decorate.
Ah, the luxury of having one's own home.
