Sorry I've not blogged recently, I've been out and about.
We went to a hotel in West Auckland (near Bishop Auckland) for the weekend - it was Corrie's gran's birthday and all her family were there. It was very nice: the hotel was an ancient 12th century manor (apparently haunted) and had a pool and sauna. It was nice to sit about and chat. We went for a lovely walk in Hamsterly forest on Sunday. On Monday we drove home. I say 'we', it was actually Corrie who drove home in her most wonderful car.
The minute we got home I dashed out to catch the train to Manchester. 2 1/2 hours later and I was looking around a Land Rover: I'd seen it in Auto Trader and it looked good, so I'd got the cash and arranged to see it. It was good so I bought it! It's absolutely brilliant - have a look
So far I've driven it back from Manchester on the motorway (bit scary) and a little bit round the roads here - but always in the dark. I'm going to go for a proper drive about this weekend. I can't wait!!
