After my walk yesterday I watched 'Rabbit-Proof Fence'. It's nice to watch a movie after a day out in the hills, there's something about the contrast between the two activities. Anyway, it's a very sad story about Australia in the 30s - they used to take the 'half-castes' away from their mothers and put them in a little camp to teach them how to work for white people. So they took these 3 little girls from their mum and took them 1,200 miles away to this camp. They naturally escaped and, by following the rabbit-proof fence that disects Australia, headed home.... It's very good.
And I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I saw a red squirrel this morning on my way to work. Reds are pretty rare and totally lush.
