So I've nearly finished my first proper day in my new job. It's been very exciting because we've all just moved into brand-spanking new offices - they're pretty groovy. It's been a busy day for me since, aside from my job, I spent my lunch hour trying to sort out mortgages, which I just managed to do in an hour. Then I put in an offer on a house we like - I haven't heard back yet.
Our dogs ate some rat poison on Sunday so I rushed them over to the vets. The vet gave them some injections to make them sick to bring up the stuff they'd eaten and boy was it effective! They sicked up everything, even stuff they'd only just thought about eating! It was like a scene from 'Jackass' where Steve O barfs. Anyway, they then had an injection of antidote and I drove them home. It was pretty traumatic!
Yesterday I walked up High Street, a big lump of a hill 828m high. It was a really nice walk, made all the more enjoyable by the fact that, although it was a bank holiday Monday and there were hundreds of people about, no-one seemed to be going my way: I had the whole world to myself. I watched 'Pirates of the Carribean' when I got back, which is a really good fun film.
It's tense waiting to hear...I hope they accept my offer!
