The first day is over.
I left at 8am and drove trough torrential rain along a deserted road past sheep, through a herd of cows, beside some massive bulls and then out onto the main road, then up over the pass and through the clouds and then down the other side, through some villages and into Windermere. It took 50 minutes.
For my first 4 hours I sat in a room with 4 other newbies (who were going to work in customer service) as the HR lady read the policies - it was rather boring 'cos it was all the usual stuff. Then I left and had lunch with my new team - it was really nice. After this I went to sit with Janice in customer service as she showed me how all that side of things work. This went on for 3 hours. Then I went for a wander round the building and left at 5:45pm, stopped off in Boothes for some goodies and then drove back through the clouds. All in all, it was a bit rubbish.
