Can't be long.
Today was a bit weird. Work was predictably basic - today I followed the receptionists round as they collected and delivered the post, opened the post, sorted the post and stamped things with a fancy electronic stamper.
I had an hour for lunch so I went for a wander in the rain - I got lost, was miles away from work with only 15 minutes of my break left, it was pouring and really humid. Result: I got back to work just in time but was drenched from the rain and my shirt was see-through from perspiration. Very embarrassing. So I borrowed a uniform shirt for the afternoon, which was spent keying in orders and learning all about that. I was very hungry since I'd not had time for lunch :-(
Then the drive home which, for the first time, was in the dry! It was lovely and I passed a pretty little deer on the deserted road. I got back, changed and then went straight out again and climbed a mountain. It's not a huge one but it's quite high and it took me above the clouds where it was peaceful and beautiful with lovely blue sky above. I sat there for 20 minutes and had some lemonade. Then I came back and that was that.
It's getting good.
PS Thanks to everyone who have been wishing me well via texts and comments :-) I'll email you when I finally get my own desk ;-)
