Had a day off yesterday...to have our carpet fitted! It's lush. Our front room is warm and cosy and smart and looks nicely done. No more gaps, wonky dips in the floor and bits of skirting falling off anymore, it's all totally lush now. And our stairs and landing have also had some new carpet and are equally lovely.
I went out with some work colleagues last night. Pizza Express followed by pub. Now, normally I detest this sort of thing - I don't like restaurants, don't like pubs and am not too keen on socialising with people I've been at work with all day. But it was really good actually, the food was nice (salade nicoise), the conversations were entertaining and the pub was pretty groovy and relatively quiet. All in all, it was surprisingly ok :-)
