I had a day off yesterday. It was my first since Christmas and it was nice.
I went up to see my folks at the weekend and did a little shopping, went to the cinema (saw 'Something's Gotta Give' with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton - they bought the popcorn) and went for a walk in the woods. On Monday, my day off, I played golf with my dad. It was good to be out in the real world during the daytime instead of being slumped in front of a computer screen. I shot 99, which gave me a net score of 71 - not bad!
And then I came back home and back to work and it was all normal again. Work is a horrific waste of time. Nothing to do all day but bash at the keyboard trying to look busy. I'm getting away with it but it's destroying me: my eyes are glazed, my brain is slow, my belly is fat, my motivation is shattered.
I shouldn't complain, at least I'm being paid.
