Since I work in a university, I'm surrounded by people trying to learn stuff.
These people, young and old, sit in rooms for long periods of time listening to someone, a teacher who already knows the stuff, talk about the stuff. They scribble down notes, they record onto their dictaphones, they listen. Eventually, some of them learn this stuff, the stuff the teacher already knew. They're happy because they've learnt the stuff they came here to learn, and the teacher's happy because they transferred the stuff from their brain to those of their students.
It occurred to me today that learning stuff in this way is pretty slow and inefficient. Surely there must be a better way. Perhaps someone could invent a special machine that you can plug into your brain so you can download stuff directly and instantly.
Oh yeah, like in 'The Matrix'.

Grow a planet This seems rubbish at first, till you figure out what you're meant to be doing (you have to put in the ingredients in a particular order). When you do, it's lush!
What it's about. Ok, ok, this is for those of you who don't get it. It's a little planet and you're like a god and you have to introduce the various things to that planet so it can grow. You can't just add the things in any old order though! The things interact in different ways, sometimes inhibiting the growth of something else, sometimes helping it. It's cause and effect. Start with the egg, the source of life.
