I don't know why but this weekend was 'diy weekend'.
For some reason, we decided to get a move on and do some of the jobs on our 'diy to do' list. It's a pretty long list and it's not got any shorter for about 5 months. Anyway, we went for it on Saturday:
I built some proper shelves to replace the shit ones I'd built when we moved in 2 years ago. They're lush - thick mdf, neatly cut. They look really swish.
I also painted the outside of the house, finishing off what I'd started 2 years ago. Well, nearly finished, I've still got the very top to do. It's now 95% white and looks very nice.
Corrie painted the walls up the stairs and in the landing and the banisters. They look as as they should - very clean and tidy.
Corrie also put up a border around the landing and it looks very nice.
On Sunday I decided to fix the leaking water tank which I'd fixed a few weeks ago but not done properly. It turned out that the part I'd used was faulty and that I'd not used a washer. It's now perfect and leak-free although there's another leak from somewhere else now - grrr!
That's it! We were well chuffed with what we'd achieved. We even treated ourselves to a movie on Saturday - "Men In Black 2" - which was good fun.
