It is raining today.
It has been raining for over 7 months now. Many hundreds of people have been washed away, down the valleys and out to sea. Children have lost their parents, parents have lost their children and cousins, cousins have lost their aunts and nephews.... The local news has been keeping those of us with electricity up to date with the flooding. Apparently, it's the worst flooding we've had for over a year.
It's been a difficult time but one thing has kept the community smiling through it all - heroin.
