I'm probably like lots of other people - I like to find metaphors for life in mundane day-to-day activities. Yesterday, whilst driving home, I realised I'd found one.
'Life is like driving through a 40 zone on the motorway. You're aware that you could be virtually anywhere else, you know that you could be going much faster but you're here, carefully plodding along with a bunch of strangers, the grey furture laid out before you.'
