Bowling for Porcupine
I work in the marketing department of a retail company that also has a buying department. Once a year these two disparate groups get together for a 'social event' as a way of building relationships and rewarding us for our hard work. Last year it was crazy golf, this year it was bowling. Luckily I wasn't here when they went last year. So after a full day's work we all congregated at the local Chav Palace in Morecombe - 30 miles away! We were put into teams, given the shoes and an alley and away we went. It was actually good fun. Our team was pretty good and after the first game we were in the lead. Then in the second game all the noise and lights of the place disappeared as I entered the zone: all I could see was pins and the ball. Strike after strike - I couldn't miss! I ended up with a score of 172 (admitedly not huge, but still not bad) and the title of Man of the Match. As a result, our team also won. We were all very proud.
