babyatom's BIG BLOG was somewhere for me to air some thoughts and tell you about what I'd been up to between March 2003 and January 2006. I'm now here

Ah, the day after the night before.
So Rebecca, Al, Jim and I left work at 3:30pm, me for the last time, and walked down to the Otley. We met up with Kev and Matt on the way.
We got there and settled in. Everyone turned up, some a bit later than others: Emma and her friend Jenny, Susan, Catrin, Peter, Liz, Jenny and her little smasher Saran, Chewie, James, Rach, Sam, Leanne. It was really, really nice to see everyone, and although lots of people couldn't make it - Ed, Mearso, Becky, Ioan, Phil, Rhys, Dave, Martin - it was a good crowd. We chatted, drank, watched my robot dance and basically 'hung out' till 8:30pm. I'd expected to conk out at about 5:00pm 'cos I'm a lightweight but I did really well, managing to keep going for a good deal longer. But I was getting hungry and the dogs had been locked in the house since 8:00am and Jenny offered me a lift back so I said my goodbyes to those hardcore enough to still be there and came home. Then I walked the dogs, wandered over to the Chinese to get some roast duck in plum sauce. I watched a bit of telly but could barely keep my eyes open so went to bed and watched 'The Big Lebowski' on my laptop - I fell asleep after 20 minutes.
It was an ace last day, really good. I'd finished everything I had to do, sorted stuff out, by Thursday so I spent the morning, as you know, pottering around. The leaving present I got was fab. And the afternoon in the pub was truly brill. My one regret is that I waited till my last day to hang out with all the guys - they're really nice and I think we could have been better friends. Bugger - it's too late now!
So anyway, I'm on my little iBy typing in the sunshine listening to the Amelie soundtrack, an exciting future ahead of me and a wonderful past behind me. What could be better?
