I've been on holiday! You probably guessed, or thought that I'd succumbed to 'not-blogging-itis'.
We had friends round for the weekend, walked in the rain, visited Bath, went to the Lake District and walked around some nice places, finally finished our lounge by putting up skirting and painting the walls caramel cream, strolled in the Brecons, watched 'K-Pax', 'America's Sweethearts' and 'Rushmore' and...that's it, I think.

So I'm 31 next week and I've been thinking about getting old recently. I don't mind it in theory, basically because there's no point - you can't do anything about it - but what I do mind is getting further and further away from the dreams I had when I was younger without actually achieving them.
I'd always thought I'd write books and have written short stories but I've never actually written a proper book, or even started. And if I don't hurry up, I probably never will.
I always thought I'd have a few big mountain climbs under my belt by now, but, even though I've been up to 5,414m, I've yet to summit a real peak. And again, if I don't hurry up, it's going to be difficult.
I suppose these are the type of thoughts that lead to a mid-life crisis and I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll get one of these.
But if I'm getting mine now, does that mean I'll only live to 62?
