Alex and Dan's wedding.
We drove up to mum and dad's on Friday, took the dogs for a run around on Saturday morning, then Rupe and Debs picked us up and we went down to the church at 1:45. We chatted to some people for a while then went and sat in the church. It was a lovely sunny day and the shafts of sunlight coming through the big stained glass windows made the church look very pretty.
The ceremony was quite formal - stand for some singing, sit for a reading, stand, sit, listen, sing. I went up to the front to do my reading (it went ok) and then Alex and Dan got married. It was nice. Afterwards, they each took a flame from a candle on either side of the altar, blew out their candle and lit one in the centre. All to the angelic sounds of a Jimi Hendrix solo. It was ace.
After photos and a bit of 'milling' outside, we got on a coach to Bradwell Abbey for the reception. Drinks, shake the hands of the family, dinner, speeches (very funny) and dancing. It was good. We saw some old friends from school (Emma, Percy and their husbands, Barny) and it was nice.
I took some pictures of the day but stupidy forgot that I'd been playing around with the camera settings. These pictures are therefore not particularly good quality. Have a look
