Me and Corrie and Buffy and Spooky went on a holiday. On Wednesday last week, we drove up to Harrogate to stay with Corrie's mum. Then on Thursday we went to Headlam Hall near Darlington for the wedding of Jules and Bill, Corrie's aunt and now uncle. It was a funny do - neither Jules nor Bill were particularly keen on the ceremony so it was quick. Once it was over, Bill quickly dashed out of the room to take his jacket and tie off and relax - he was noticeably relieved! Anyway, the rest of the day was spent chatting, drinking and eating and it was nice. We stayed the night in the hotel there and had a swim in their pool the next day :-)

On Firday we went back to Corrie's mum's house and went for a walk in the countryside, had dinner and stuff like that.

On Saturday we drove to North Wales - it took ages! Still, once in Wales, the scenery was delightful. We stopped off in Betwys-Y-Coed and looked in some outdoor shops - there's some nice stuff around. It was really busy and pretty unpleasant so we drove out to Capel Curig to find a campsite. We passed one which was packed - it looked like Glastonbury! We didn't stop. The next one was less busy so we stayed there but some noisy scousers played there music full blast till 3:30am. The buggers.

We headed off on Sunday, down the A470 through mid Wales, and stopped off somewhere (can't remember the name) for a walk . It was lush - huge forests, waterfalls, big views. We got back to the car a few hours later and continued down the A470, stopping late in the evening in a nice campsite by a kite feeding place.

We finished off our little tour on Monday, driving the last stretch of the A470 into Cardiff. North and mid Wales are really beautiful but South Wales is not quite so nice. I thought you should know.
